Recently HomeCA/Native Directions have been increasing their voices to El Dorado County officials, complaining that they are blocked from moving forward with the development of the proposed Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment centers in Rescue. To date, the county has placed their permit applications on a “governmental delay,” whatever that means. It is not clear to us what the county intends to do next – deny these permits or ? To that end we will likely need to make another public appearance to reinforce to the new Supervisors that there is a strong community of people who don’t want to see these facilities built.
