HomeCA/Native Directions applied for commercial grading and construction permits for their proposed facility(s) on 3480 Deer Valley Ct on Dec 30, ’24. This proposed facility is separated by one parcel from their second Perinatal substance abuse disorder (SUD) proposal that also has pending permit applications.
According to the grant documents we have been able to review, the developer intends to build a 15 room, 30 patient single-story SUD facility for “for intense alcohol and drug treatment in order for the individual to maintain sobriety. our residential treatment will include substance abuse assessment, observation, individual and group substance abuse counseling, 12 step groups, mental health assessment, life skills training, vocational assessment, training and recreational activities. The facility will be a license ARF providing long-term care and assistance with ADLs.” (quoted from the CCE grant application). It is unclear how many staff will be required onsite to support up to 30 patients. Of course, this is a significant deviation from the rural residential single-family zoning for this site. We will send a communication to our county and elected officials asking once again to deny these permits.
