Help Needed – Send a quick note!

As we noted in the last post, our El Dorado County (EDC) leaders have submitted a significant challenge to the developer (HomeCA/Gina Wasdyke) and care provider (Native Directions) regarding their permit applications for one of the projects proposed in Rescue. This is a perfect time to demonstrate support for this challenge by sending an email demonstrating that the community is staying abreast of actions concerning these projects.

If you want to help, PLEASE send a quick email to our Board of Supervisors, and the Director of Building and Planning, thanking them for their support.

Below is the letter sent by Chris Silva. You can copy/paste the email address to send direct to Supervisor Parlin (District 4) and Karen Garner (Dir of Building/Planning). I suggest you copy the other Board of Supervisors as well, since their alignment is critical to ongoing support. You can send an exact copy, or better yet, take a few minutes to express in your own words how you feel about our Board of Supervisors challenging the developer of these inappropriate projects.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to help demonstrate community involvement concerning these proposed projects.

I wanted to thank you for challenging the developer, HomeCA, that is proposing two commercial facilities off Deer Valley Road in Rescue. As we documented in our Jan 30th BOS meeting, the community has serious safety and quality of life concerns about the locations of these proposed facilities. As we have researched this further, we also have serious concerns about the Patient experiences future patients would experience if these facilities are built in Rescue. From the written communications we have seen, HomeCA/Native Directions has not been fully truthful in their presentation of facts and their arguments. We all appreciate that our EDC representatives are asking for clarification on important key facts before considering granting any permits.

Our goal is this developer agrees that these parcels in Rescue are not appropriate and they move these two projects to more appropriate locations, optimally close to where these patients will originate from.

Thanks for supporting these community and patient concerns.

Regards,
Chris Silva
