Here are a few quick updates for today’s blog – fundraiser, Assemblyman Patterson open house, latest status update.
Fundraiser March 1 – In partnership with the Concerned Citizens of Cameron Park, Rescue & Shingle Springs, we are holding a fundraiser to help cover expected legal and investigative costs, focused on getting the proposed development in Rescue moved to a more appropriate location.
Below is a QR code you scan with your phone or click this link to RSVP.
We will be doing a silent auction as well, so if you have items you would like to donate, please contact Amber at 916-945-8480 to coordinate. I believe Amber is looking for a few more volunteers, so please let her know if you want to help at the event.

Assemblyman Patterson open house – Assemblymember Joe Patterson is holding an Open House on February 29th as the El Dorado Hills CSD Community Center. I am not sure how much he will touch on the Rescue Deer Valley protest, but I know his team has been actively trying to garner State attention on the poor location choice for these facilities. If you attend, we can all ask for an update from his team.

Latest Status Update: At this point we are in a waiting game with the State Dept of Health Care Services (DHCS) and the developer of these proposed facilities, HomeCA (Gina Wasdyke). We are maintaining regular contact with the staffs at El Dorado County, Senator Maria Alvarado-Gil and Assemblymember Joe Patterson. Based on recent public comments by Native Directions, the care provider for these proposed facilities, we expect a fight to get these facilities stopped, or moved. We will update everyone here as soon as we have further updates and actions.
