Thank you for your support to stop these planned developments off Deer Valley Road. The next step is to garner attention and support from the officials that can impact decisions regarding the approval of upcoming permits. We are in communication with Supervisor Parlin (District 4) and she is preparing to educate the rest of the EDC Supervisors and develop a proposed plan. We should all see this item as an agenda on an upcoming EDC Board of Supervisors (BOS) meeting in the next few weeks. We are meeting with Assemblymember Joe Patterson on Friday, Jan 19th. We will ask his office for help engaging with the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) who funded this project to get the project moved to a more appropriate location.
We added a couple clarifying paragraphs to the initial website pages by adding Goals and Recommended Solutions on the initial pages. Hopefully this will clarify exactly the actions we want to see taken. We will continue to update the website with the latest information, as we get it.
We will provide some updates soon on the meetings with Supervisor Parlin and Assemblymember Patterson. If you haven’t already, please write to each of these, and Gov Newsom’s office, with your concerns.
